Product Description

The BLAZE was created out of necessity. We needed a super-light, versatile ski capable of shredding the deepest pow while still excelling in the park and all over the mountain. The BLAZE is all of our technology wrapped into one ski. They are crafted from Moso bamboo and triaxial carbon fiber, creating and light and poppy ski that is still very strong and stable at high speeds and rowdy descents. They have symmetrical tip and tail rocker, meaning they stomp landings switch as well as they do forward. The tail is only 6mm narrower than the tip creating maximum floatation and maneuverability anyway you choose to ride the mountain.

The Blaze is also the most earth friendly ski we make. Bamboo sidewalls instead of poly. Bamboo topsheet instead of poly. Earth friendly, water based-sublimation dyes that are made in the US, (as with all our skis) instead of toxic inks. The only poly in the Blaze is it’s UHMW-pe 4001 Sintered race base.

Whether you’re into backcountry booters, pow laps at the resort, boot packing the pass, or skinning on a Sunday morning…Just BLAZE the trail!

Most versitile twin style ski I’ve ever been on. Waist deep powder? Floaty and predictable. Hard, cold, washed out groomers? Stable, and they can rail incredibly hard. The 102mm waist is just about as perfect of an all around width as you can get. I never have to think about which ski to bring with these in the quiver

The sickest ski I’ve ever ridden. The float on pow like you’re on clouds, rails are super stable, I can carve them like a race ski, yet butter the tips and tails with ease.
Super light, strong, fast, and EVERY time I’m on the lift I get asked about them. Josh and the crew at Slant have made the ultimate all mountain ski!
Support the craftsman, not the shareholder!!
Already thinking about my next pair of Slants!

    THE BLAZEDEDEST!
I’ve been waiting to ride a ski like this for years. Longer than 190, mid-fat, symmetric rocker, tapered tip and tail, light as hell, AND a stable flex pattern. What a killer whip! So impressed with the ski’s ability to handle variability. The tip shape and stiffer flex just destroy chunder, but do an equally good job floating in pow. Not only this, but they do it switch! Seriously, i’ve never been on a ski that allows me to ski crud in control going backwards. They’re super nimble in the air and on rails too. I’m 6’4″, ride the 192, and I couldn’t be more stoked!

Much love to Josh and the crew out at Slant! Keep up the amazing work!

Absolutely incredible ski! I am a better skier with these things, no joke. Stiff enough to be energetic, fun, and poppy, but not too stiff to butter around the mountain. I ski the 192 Blaze, and these things kill it in every situation I’ve thrown at them thus far (powder, hard choppy crud, slushy spring snow, park jumps, rails, everything!) This isn’t a lazy ski, but when you put some good energy into your turns the blaze returns the favor with some radical and unique propulsion, like jet engines in your skis! Also, these are by far the most comfortable ski for switch riding that I have used, both for switch cruising and landing/taking off in the park. On top of all that, Josh and the crew at Slant are so darn friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be getting some more Slant skis in the future!
